Are you weighed down by heavy burdens of guilt? Do you sometimes wonder if you will ever experience true forgiveness from others or from God? Do you need someone to have compassion on you and excuse a past mistake? To know you are truly and completely forgiven would be like a "Release From Shame."
Just as the women from "Magdalena: Released From Shame" experienced true forgiveness in the person of Jesus, so can you. Jesus offers the same forgiveness to all who will, by faith, accept it and embrace it.
Remember the story of the woman caught in adultery? She was brought before Jesus by the religious leaders. She knew the consequences of her actions resulted in death, but Jesus had compassion on her and forgave her. "Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?" "No one, Lord?" she said. And Jesus said: "Neither do I condemn you; go your way. From now on sin no more?"
How wonderful to hear those words! Have you ever questioned Jesus forgiveness? In The Bible it says that, "The wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23, NASB). By God's standards our mistakes or wrongdoings deserve death and punishment. Yet Jesus, in His great love and mercy for us, took our punishment upon Himself when He died on the cross. He died in our place!
Because of Jesus death and resurrection, your forgiveness is not merely a hope. It is fact! He paid the price for all of your sins. The rest of Romans 6:23 (NASB)says, "but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Will you receive this free gift and embrace Jesus gift of forgiveness?
